Privacy Policy

These Privacy Policies establish how Ruuts S.A., CUIT 30-71715660-5 (RUUTS), collects, processes, stores, shares and protects users’ personal data and other information under Argentine Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, its implementing decree, supplementary rules and provisions of the National Directorate for Personal Data Protection. Acceptance confers user status and constitutes full, unreserved acceptance. These policies are deemed accepted through use of RUUTS services and browsing its website by users or their representatives.

I. RUUTS’ responsibility

RUUTS is responsible for processing and protecting users’ personal data, collecting, storing and holding information through https://ruuts.la/. Data subjects may exercise the rights granted under applicable regulations following the procedures in Law No. 25,326.

II. Personal data collected

RUUTS may request personal data necessary to provide contracted services. Users expressly accept the request and processing of the following non-exhaustive categories, without excluding other information requested by RUUTS: identification data; user and contact information; device location; and access IP addresses. Data collected may include first and last name, email, telephone, farm name, nearest town, region or province, country, total hectares, production type, login information and password.

Data may be obtained in person or electronically through equipment, optical or other technologies, automated processing systems and public or private telecommunications networks, under applicable legal provisions. RUUTS does not deliberately or intentionally request minors’ data.

III. Purposes of processing

Necessary purposes include identifying clients and validating identity; administering and operating requested or contracted products and services; registering data for the contracted service; formalizing and recording contracts; geolocating users who wish to contract through the website; verifying users’ identity; and marketing and promotional activities providing potentially relevant information.

Other purposes that are not necessary to, and do not establish, the legal relationship include quality and satisfaction surveys; commercial and advertising information by email or mobile messaging (SMS/MMS); and news about products or services related to those purchased. By contracting with RUUTS, users provide express or implied consent to processing under applicable rules. Users who provide other individuals’ data acknowledge their duty to inform those individuals about processing and these policies, and confirm that they have done so.

IV. Information security

RUUTS adopts appropriate collection, storage, management and security practices against unauthorized access, alteration, addition, deletion, disclosure or destruction. Protecting privacy and information security is a priority. Access is limited to employees, representatives, suppliers and clients who need it to perform their functions or provide or improve services for the stated purposes. Third parties must meet security and confidentiality standards equal to or greater than those imposed on employees. No information stored or transmitted over the Internet or another network can be guaranteed completely secure. RUUTS cannot guarantee that information will not be accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed following a breach of these safeguards.

V. Access, correction, updating, deletion and confidentiality

Under articles 14 and 16 of Law No. 25,326, users may access their information and request correction, updating, deletion and confidentiality. Under article 27(3), users may request free removal or blocking of their name and email from advertising databases. Send requests to hola@ruuts.la.

RUUTS must provide access within 10 calendar days of receiving a request. Access is free at intervals of at least six months, unless a legitimate interest justifies earlier access. Deletion or correction requests must be answered within five business days after identity has been verified through the email address above.

VI. Transfers of personal data

Users consent to RUUTS transferring and processing personal data domestically and abroad with affiliated entities, regulators and service providers for the purposes in section III. Other countries may lack protection levels equivalent to Argentina’s. RUUTS complies with applicable regulations and uses safeguards ensuring adequate protection under Law No. 25,326 and supplementary rules. Information may also be provided when required by law or requested by competent authorities under applicable legislation.

If RUUTS or most of its assets are acquired by a third party, information will be among the transferred assets, subject to these privacy commitments unless users expressly authorize otherwise. The same applies to mergers, transformations or corporate divisions involving RUUTS. RUUTS will ensure that affiliates, regulators and service providers assume the same personal data protection obligations.

VII. Retention of information

Unless these policies state otherwise, RUUTS may retain information even after account discontinuation or deletion, or termination of a contractual relationship with RUUTS or its affiliates, for as long as reasonably necessary to comply with these policies or legal requirements; safeguard persons; address fraud, technical or security issues; or protect RUUTS’ property rights. If a court or competent authority finds a provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain fully valid.
